Aquatic entomology is a lecture/laboratory course that will teach you the fundamentals about the amazing insects that make their homes in streams, rivers, lakes and ponds. The course introduces students to the systematics, ecology and natural history of these creatures. This is an excellent course for students in the OSU Biology, Zoology, Entomology, Environmental Science, Fisheries and Wildlife programs.

This selected topics course will examine the evolutionary biology of herbivorous insects by reviewing a recent multiauthor book. The scope includes insect relationships with their host plants and natural enemies and covers both micro- and macro-evolution.

This course will be of interest to graduate students (and advanced undergraduate students with permission from instructor) working in ecology, behavior, population genetics, speciation, macroevolution, systematics, and insect management.

Recognition, biology and management of injurious and beneficial insects; insects
and human welfare. Concurrent laboratory is designed to illustrate principles of
insect pest management in agricultural cropping systems, including medical and
