Special Collections

OSAC maintains several large special collections within its holdings. Noteworthy among these are:

• The H.J. Andrews Experimental Forest Voucher Collection
• The Melville Harrison Hatch beetle collection, and
• The Western Forest Insect Collection

Specimens in these collections are provided recognizable specimen tags, that allow them to be maintained apart, but in close proximity, to the specimens of the main OSAC collection. In this way, researchers who have need of this voucher material can more easily locate the specimens associated with these unique collections.
