Aphids, mosquitos, thrips, lice, collembola a number of other tiny arthropods such as mites, are best stored on microscope slides.
The OSAC maintains a large inventory of these specimens as part of our holdings. Largest of these collections is the mite collection, however, our aphid and mosquito collections are also exceptional.
