Dr. Paul Hammond
Dr. Paul Hammond has worked for many years to improve and augment OSAC's formidable Lepidoptera collection. He is exceptionally friendly, humble and an outstanding taxonomist, all traits that explain why so many people rely on his assistance. During the field season, Dr. Hammond spends days conducting butterfly surveys and/or obtaining material for his ongoing studies into the evolution of Colias (the sulphur butterfly). During the wetter seasons, Dr. Hammond is in OSAC almost daily, mounting, identifying and curating various species of Lepidoptera.
He is also plays a key role in the organization of the Pacific Northwest Lepidopterist Workshop that takes place every years at OSU.
