Dr. Christopher J. Marshall

marshallc.jpg

Hired in 2005, Dr. Marshall is a systematist who conducts research on beetles - especially scarab beetles and their relatives (Scarabaeoidea).

Since his arrival, Dr. Marshall has worked hard to develop the physical and digital resources of the OSAC as well as to modernize the operational procedures and policies to bring the museum into keeping with other similarly sized collections at other institutions.

In addition to curatorial projects that take place within the museum, Dr. Marshall has also sought to encourage and establish research ties between the OSAC and other units on and off campus.
Dr. Marshall also teaches two courses: OSU's Biology of Insects course and a summer class on Field Methods of Insect Biodiversity.

People who have inspired/mentored me in my carreer as a biologist.
