Dana Ross

Dana Ross has been working at the Oregon State Arthropod Collection for many years.  His interests are in Lepidoptera - both butterflies and moths.  Dana has been working on moth survey work since his graduate work, accomplished here at OSU.  He is a regular consultant to numerous state agencies in relation to monitoring for a number of sensitive and/or threatened species.  Dana contrutes many voucher specimens in conjunction with these surveys and has added a number of new state and county records to the state's species checklist.   In addition to Lepidoptera, Dana has contributed a number of Tiger Beetles (Cicindelidae), ant lions (Myrmeleontidae) and grasshoppers.
