Insects Associated with western Alder (Alnus spp)

This project relied on a number of Western Forest Insect Collection (WFIC).  The WFIC is a large collection of forest insects amassed over many years by the USDA/USFS in the western part of the United States.  In addition to many specimens, the WFIC has a large respository of collection records, which are linked to the corresponding specimens with a numbering system known as the Hopkins System.  Each collecting event has a single Hopkins Number -- which may correspond to a number of specimens and/or species.
