Ron W. Lyons

Ron Lyons came to the OSAC in the early 2000's in an effort to document the Crater Lake National Park insect fauna.  Since then, Mr. Lyons has taken on a number of other important tasks that directly benefit PNW entomologists and the OSAC.  He, along with Jim Johnson, have resurrected the long-standing Bulletin of the Oregon Entomological Society of which he is a regular contributor.  His interest are general, but in particular Mr. Lyons has focusssed on Dragonflies, Katydids, Tiger Beetles, Soldier Flies and is now working on a project on Cimbicidae.  He is an excellent photographer and has worked with the public at the Living Coast Discovery Center  (formerly the Chula Vista Nature Center) as their bug-walk leader.
